1
00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:00,975
I'm Mamadou.

2
00:00:01,382 --> 00:00:04,238
I work in Dakar, and I speak both French and English.

3
00:00:04,969 --> 00:00:09,555
I've considered immigrating to Canada, but when I looked at Express Entry, I wasn't sure my score

4
00:00:09,578 --> 00:00:10,728
would be competitive.

5
00:00:11,192 --> 00:00:13,607
I assumed I might need a Canadian job offer.

6
00:00:14,466 --> 00:00:18,321
Then I heard that French-speaking professionals may have additional opportunities.

7
00:00:18,727 --> 00:00:20,631
But which programs apply to me?

8
00:00:20,887 --> 00:00:22,640
And where would I find an employer?

9
00:00:23,379 --> 00:00:29,474
Global Compass helps Mamadou explore immigration pathways that may recognize his language skills.

10
00:00:29,811 --> 00:00:35,256
It can assess potential Francophone and other immigration opportunities, identify relevant

11
00:00:35,326 --> 00:00:41,304
eligibility requirements, and help him understand how language results and professional experience

12
00:00:41,351 --> 00:00:42,860
may affect his options.

13
00:00:43,325 --> 00:00:49,153
Mamadou can also explore employment opportunities in different Canadian provinces and identify what

14
00:00:49,211 --> 00:00:51,707
he may need to strengthen his profile.

15
00:00:51,827 --> 00:00:54,579
I was focused on the options I thought I didn't have.

16
00:00:55,310 --> 00:00:58,607
Now I want to explore the opportunities I may have overlooked.
