Marketplace

Understand your pathway. Discover opportunities.

Your preliminary assessment tells you which ways to Canada could fit. The Marketplace connects that to jobs, study programs and businesses for sale, each explained in terms of your plan rather than listed at random.

In preparation: Jobs shows signals from government open data; no listings are published yet. This page explains what the Marketplace will show, and how.

Three kinds of listing

Public, registered or verified: every listing says which

The label tells you where a listing came from and what, if anything, we checked. None of them means we recommend it.

Public listing

From a source that permits it: an authorized feed or open government data. We show the source, the posting date, when we last saw it, and a link to the original.

  • We never infer that the employer, school or seller supports immigration.
  • It expires when the source withdraws it.

Registered with us

Entered on Global Compass by the employer, institution, owner or broker themselves, and labelled that way.

  • They can say what they offer, such as whether they would consider candidates from abroad.
  • They can pause or withdraw it at any time.

Verified

Registered, plus checks we document on the listing itself. Verified means those checks passed, never that we recommend it.

  • The organization exists in a public register.
  • The contact uses the organization’s own email domain.
  • An institution’s DLI number matches IRCC’s list; a broker’s licence is on file.
  • The facts match the source document.
How matching works

Reasons you can check, not a score

A match is a list of requirements, each one met, unknown or not met for you. Immigration fit, job fit, school fit and business fit stay separate. There is no single percentage anywhere, because one would be false precision.

Why this fits

Each reason is a requirement from a rule our lawyers approved, checked against your answers, with its official page linked.

What we don’t know

A listing rarely says everything. What it leaves open stays open, and we tell you what to ask before you count on it.

What could rule it out

A requirement you don’t meet today, or a program that is paused, is said plainly, with what would have to change.

  • Filters come first: the requirements a listing must meet, then your preferences for place, pay, budget and timing.
  • Matching runs on our servers in Canada. Nothing about you goes to an employer, school or broker unless you ask for an introduction and accept it.
  • Personalised matches are optional. They start only when you say so, separately from your assessment, and you can switch them off.
An illustrative example

What one match would look like

Priya, one of our illustrative characters, is a data scientist in Bangalore with a master’s degree, CLB 8 in English and no Canadian work yet. The posting below is made up. The rules behind each line are real.

Reasons for Priya

Made-up listing, made-up answers
Data scientist, Toronto, Ontario$95,000 a year, full time, permanent. Public listing from a feed, posted 3 days ago, seen today.
  • Looks good

The job is TEER 1, so the Canadian Experience Class asks for CLB 7 in every skill once she has a year of Canadian work. Her lowest skill is CLB 8.Canadian Experience Class language minimum by TEER (rule PR-CEC-003).

  • Not a plus

Data scientists are not on IRCC’s current STEM category list, so this job does not open a category-based round to her.Occupation-based category rounds (rule PR-CAT-001).

  • Checked on the day

From November 3, 2026, a qualifying offer in an occupation on IRCC’s high-wage list earns extra Express Entry points. We check the list on the day and show her estimate with and without the offer.Express Entry changes for high-wage occupations (rules PR-CRS-004 and PR-CRS-008).

  • Not yet

Ontario’s Workforce Priority stream needs a permanent, full-time Ontario offer and months in the job with that employer first, so a new hire would not qualify straight away.Ontario Workforce Priority stream (rules PR-ON-001 and PR-ON-002).

  • Unknown

A public posting does not say whether the employer would support a work permit or a labour market impact assessment. We never assume it. Ask before you count on it.A public listing, so nothing is inferred about immigration support.

Every line is a rule our lawyers approved, with its official page linked in the real thing. The job itself (duties, pay, the employer) is for Priya to judge; we show the immigration side.

Employers, schools and brokers

Register what you offer: a role and whether you would consider candidates from abroad, your programs, or a business for sale. Listings are labelled as registered, and verified only after checks we document.

Opportunities will appear in your report

When the Marketplace opens, a section called “Opportunities for your plan” joins your Preliminary Assessment, dated the day you look, and separate from the assessment itself.
