A made-up program, to show how admission, the study permit, the post-graduation work permit and later routes to permanent residence are kept apart. Nothing on this page is a real program or an offer.

Invented for this page to show how a program reads: not a real program, not an offer, and nobody has checked it. The institution is made up as well, so nothing below is any real school’s requirement, price or scholarship. The DLI number and the field of study code are real, so the checks against IRCC’s lists are the real ones, and what IRCC prints against that number is in the study permit panel below, with the date we read it.
The checks below take different paths, so each one shows a different page.
Admission, a study permit, a post-graduation work permit and permanent residence are four separate decisions, made by different people at different times. They are not interchangeable, and one does not follow from another. Each panel below lists the requirements from the rules behind our assessments that this program’s own facts bear on. 13 of them cannot be settled without your own answers, a lawyer’s judgment, or a rule that has not started yet: they are marked, and “What it means for you” below picks them up once you have an assessment.
The institution decides who it admits, on its own requirements. These are the requirements it gave us. An offer of admission is not a study permit and not a work permit.

IRCC decides a study permit, on the rules behind our assessments. An offer of admission does not decide it, and these checks are about the program, not about you: what depends on your own answers is below.
